"Bike Trade Buzz" is a trade members only forum for the bicycle industry.
Membership is restricted to bona-fide members of the bicycle industry and related services industries ONLY
All new sign ups will be verified as having a genuine and legitimate link to the bike trade before being granted access. This verification process can be simple, or complicated, depending upon the email address that you sign up with.
To make things simpler for all involved, please, wherever possible, sign up using your primary BUSINESS email address, for example name@mybikeshopname.co.uk or name@bikesupplier.com etc. So long as the email address can be checked against a genuine bike or related business, your membership application should be approved pretty quickly (typically a few hours rather than days).
At no point will email addresses be made available to anyone except for the site administrators.
If you are unable to do this, sign up using your preferred email address and then send an email to "editor at biketradebuzz . com" from the same email address, explaining who you are, where you work and, if necessary, how your business relates to the bike industry. This registration method is likely to take longer whilst we verify your credentials (this could take several days) and we may require you to provide further credentials to verify who you are.
In all cases you will receive an email from the site which will contain an activation link which you MUST follow to activate your account once you have been approved.
Anonymity within the forum is allowed: your username need not be your real name, however you must supply genuine credentials for sign up. Only the site administrators have access to your full details.
It is vitally important that membership of this site is open only to those people directly involved with the bike trade either via shops, suppliers, bike trade press or some types of ancilliary suppliers and whilst our membership requirements might seem like a pain, they exist to enable the trade to have an area where business matters can be discussed openly and frankly, without fear of that information being seen by anyone outside the trade. If you don't approve of these principles, please don't bother signing up.
